Hello! I’m Dr. Nate Kinnison, a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician. I graduated with great distinction from Logan University in 2020. During my clinical rotations, I provided care at Paraquad, focusing on post-stroke, paraplegic/hemiplegic, and traumatic brain injury cases. These patients left a lasting impression on me—they were willing to do whatever it took to improve their health.
At the same time, I earned my Master’s in Sports Science and Rehabilitation, which allowed me to specialize in helping athletes heal faster and perform at their best. One of my most memorable experiences was assessing and treating the XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks before their season began.
More recently, I’ve turned my attention toward Brain-Based Treatment through a program called zHealth, grounded in Applied Neuroscience. Through this approach, I’ve found that recurring injuries often stem from unaddressed neural programs in the brain that recreate tension in the joints and muscles. By focusing on the brain and spinal cord, we can “rewire” these programs—leading to faster recovery and longer-lasting results.
Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Shey, being outdoors, playing all kinds of sports, preparing healthy meals, and even gaming with my brother-in-law (who’s also a chiropractor!).
I’m passionate about helping and guiding people toward a healthier, more vibrant life. Life is too short not to feel our best—injuries, gut issues, and mental health challenges can take us out of the present moment. My goal is to live to be 100 years young, thriving and helping others smile along the way.
At OV Spine + Sport, the “OV” doesn’t stand for Oro Valley—it stands for Optimal Vitality. I believe we should all thrive through life, not merely live in pain. Change starts within each of us; as we feel better, we can help those around us feel better too—for the good of the greater whole.
