From Then to Now, Same Compass
Dr. Nate Kinnison
Chiropractor in Oro Valley, AZ
Hello! I’m Dr. Nate Kinnison, a Board-Certified Chiropractic Physician dedicated to empowering patients to achieve optimal health and performance.
I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree with great distinction from Logan University in 2020. During my clinical rotations, I provided specialized care at Paraquad, supporting individuals recovering from post-stroke conditions, paraplegia, hemiplegia, and traumatic brain injuries. The resilience and commitment of these patients profoundly shaped my approach, reinforcing my passion for transformative care.
Concurrently, I completed my Master’s degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation, honing my expertise in accelerating athlete recovery and enhancing peak performance. A highlight of my externship career was serving as a consultant for the XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks, where I conducted pre-season assessments and treatments to optimize team readiness.
More recently, I’ve advanced my practice through zHealth’s Brain-Based Treatment program, rooted in Applied Neuroscience. This innovative framework reveals that many chronic injuries arise from entrenched neural patterns that perpetuate joint and muscle tension. By targeting the brain and spinal cord, we can rewire these patterns, fostering accelerated healing and enduring results.
I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to wellness.

Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife Shey, being outdoors, playing all kinds of sports, preparing healthy meals, and even gaming with my brother-in-law (who’s also a chiropractor!).
I’m passionate about helping and guiding people toward a healthier, more vibrant life. Life is too short not to feel our best—injuries, gut issues, and mental health challenges can take us out of the present moment. My goal is to live to be 100 years young, thriving and helping others smile along the way.
At OV Spine + Sport, the “OV” doesn’t stand for Oro Valley—it stands for Optimal Vitality. I believe we should all thrive through life, not merely live in pain. Change starts within each of us; as we feel better, we can help those around us feel better too—for the good of the greater whole.
Let us show you what life can feel like.
Our clinic started from a shared passion for holistic, patient-focused wellness. We came together to create a space where comprehensive care meets genuine compassion.
